Tras su estreno mundial en Los Ángeles el pasado lunes, 16 de diciembre, nos llegan las primeras reacciones de “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker“, la película más anticipada del resto del año.
Miembros de la prensa, críticos de cine e influencers estuvieron presentes en el anticipado estreno, y rápidamente hicieron públicas su opinión a través de la red social Twitter. La opinión, hasta el momento, ha estado tan dividida como se esperaba tras el fuerte debate que inspiró “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” hace exactamente dos años.

#RiseofSkywalker is rocky af at the start, but ultimately I had a pretty darn good time at the movies. It’s a whole lot of movie that ticks a lot of boxes. Maybe TOO many boxes. It ticked many of mine! It may tick some of yours! There will be many opinions! This is one of them!

Si en algo están la mayoría de acuerdo, es que la tercera en la nueva trilogía -para sorpresa de nadie- se aleja del camino que empezó a trazar el director Rian Johnson para estos nuevos personajes. Según comentarios tempranos, el regreso del director J.J. Abrams también es un regreso al “fan service” como plato principal de una franquicia que comenzaba a perder seguidores en busca de esto mismo.
Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, y Billie Lourd estarán de regreso para el noveno capítulo. La película también contará con las actuaciones de de Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, Carrie Fisher e Ian McDiarmid como El Emperador. Para Fisher, quien falleció trágicamente en diciembre del 2016, utilizarán pietaje que se grabó para “The Force Awakens” pero que nunca se utilizó.
El legendario compositor, John Williams, estuvo a cargo de la música de la película una vez más, mientras que JJ Abrams (The Force Awakens) regresó a la silla de director.
El estreno de “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” en las salas de cine de Puerto Rico está programado para el 19 de diciembre de este año.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is certainly the most convoluted Star Wars. There is a lot I liked, but the first half gets so bogged down with exposition and new plot and doodads and beacons and transmitters, it feels like it should have been three movies on its own.
