(Los Ángeles, CA – 15 de enero de 2023) – Esta noche, los Critics Choice Association (CCA) anunciaron los ganadores de la 28a edición anual de los Critics Choice Awards EN VIVO en The CW. Organizada por Chelsea Handler, la gala repleta de estrellas se celebró en el Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel de Los Ángeles.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” lideró a los ganadores en las categorías de cine, ganando cinco premios, incluyendo Mejor Película, Mejor Director para Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert, Mejor Actor de Reparto por Ke Huy Quan, Mejor Guión Original para Daniel Kwan y Daniel Scheinert y Mejor Edición para Paul Rogers.
En las categorías de la serie, “Better Call Saul” se llevó a casa tres trofeos, ganando la mejor serie dramática, el premio al mejor actor en una serie dramática para Bob Odenkirk y el mejor actor de reparto en una serie dramática por Giancarlo Esposito. “Abbott Elementary” ganó dos premios, Mejor Serie de Comedia y Mejor Actriz de Reparto en una Serie de Comedia por Sheryl Lee Ralph. “The Dropout” también obtuvo un par de victorias, Mejor Serie Limitada y Mejor Actriz en una Serie Limitada o Película hecha para Televisión para Amanda Seyfried. “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” también ganó dos premios, Mejor Película Hecha para Televisión y Mejor Actor en una Serie Limitada o Película Hecha para Televisión por Daniel Radcliffe.
John Goodman entregó el Premio a la Trayectoria a Jeff Bridges en un punto culminante muy especial de la noche, mientras que Kate Hudson entregó el Premio SeeHer de este año a Janelle Monáe. El Premio SeeHer honra a una mujer que aboga por la igualdad de género, retrata a los personajes con autenticidad, desafía los estereotipos y empuja los límites.
