CODA gana premio principal en Sundance

Park City, UT — Luego de seis días y 73 largometrajes, la más reciente edición del Festival de Sundance celebró su ceremonia de premiaciones, presentada por el actor y comediante, Patton Oswalt. En la ceremonia se entregaron un total de 24 premios para largometrajes y 7 para cortometrajes.

Los principales premios del Jurados fuero otorgados a “CODA"  en la categoría de U.S. Dramatic, “Summer of Soul (…Or, When The Revolution Could Not Be Televised) en la categoría de U.S. Documentary, “Flee" de la categoría World Cinema Documentary) y “Hive" de World Cinema Dramatic. 

CODA, la cinta de apertura, se alzó con ambos premios principales tras una histórica adquisición de $25 millones a cargo de Apple TV+, donde se espera estrena más adelante este año.

Los miembros del jurados de largometrajes fueron Julie Dash, Cynthia Erivo, Hanya Yanagihara,Ashley Clark, Joshua Oppenheimer, Lana Wilson, Zeynep Atakan, Isaac Julien, Daniela Vega, Kim Longinotto, Mohamed Saïd Ouma, y Jean Tsien.
