El director Denis Villeneuve continúa la gira de festivales en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto, donde presentó su más reciente película, ARRIVAL. La película tuvo su estreno canadiense el pasado lunes, 12 de septiembre en el Roy Thompson Hall, donde se dieron cita los protagonista Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams, Michael Stuhlbarg y el director, entre otros.
El filme de ciencia ficción continúa impactando en cada una de sus paradas, manteniendo una puntuación de 100% en el portal Rotten Tomatoes con un total de 28 críticas hasta el momento. Tras su estreno mundial en el Festival de Cine de Venecia, la más reciente propuesta del directo de SICARIO se colocó en la carrera por el Oscar.
La historia de la película se desarrolla luego de que una nave extraterrestre aterrice en la Tierra, donde una experta en lenguas es reclutada por las fuerzas armadas para descifrar si vienen en paz o si representan una amenaza real.
Amy Adams y Jeremy Renner encabezan el elenco principal de la película, la cual también cuenta con las actuaciones de Forest Whitaker, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mark O’Brien y Tzi Ma.
El estreno de ARRIVAL en las salas de cine de Estados Unidos está programado para el 11 de noviembre de este año.
