Se auguran pocas sorpresas durante la Gran Noche del Cine, la ceremonia de premiaciones más esperada del año para los fanáticos del cine.
Esta noche, la Academia de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas escoge las mejores películas del año 2017 en lo que se espera sea una gran noche para el estudio 20th Century Fox. Ambas favoritas para alzarse con el galardón, principal, The Shape of Water y Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, pondrían al estudio en la ruta ganadora nuevamente. Se trata del estudio detrás de ganadores recientes como Birdman of (The Unexpected Virtune of Ignorance) y 12 Years a Slave.

Entre algunos de los favoritos figura el veterano Gary Oldman de Darkest Hour para la estatuilla de Actor Principal, mientras que se espera Frances McDormand gane el segundo Oscar de su carrera por su rol en Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.Coco, la más reciente propuesta de Disney Pixar, ha asegurado el decimocuarto Oscar de animación para la compañía, de no ocurrir alguna sorpresa.
