El drama Beautiful Boy tuvo su estreno mundial el pasado viernes, 7 de septiembre en el Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto.
Allí estuvieron sus dos protagonistas, Steve Carell, Amy Ryan y Timothée Chalamet. Para Chalamet, se trata de su segundo año consecutivo en el festival tras haber estado el año pasado con las aclamadas Call Me By Your Name y Lady Bird.

Basada en un par de memorias populares de padre e hijo, David y Nic Sheff, la película cuenta la dolorosa pero inspiradora experiencia de supervivencia, recaída y rehabilitación en una familia que afronta la adicción a través de muchos años.
Steve Carell, Timothée Chalamet, Maura Tierney y Amy Ryan componen el elenco principal de la película, dirigida por Felix Van Groeningen (The Broken Circle Breakdown).
El estreno de Beautiful Boy en las salas de cine de Estados Unidos está programado para el 12 de octubre de este año.
