Brie Larson y el resto del elenco de la película “Just Mercy” desfilaron en la alfombra roja del legendario Roy Thompson Hall en Toronto.
La película tuvo su estreno mundial el pasado viernes, 6 de septiembre como parte del Festival Internacional de Cine de Toronto.
Allí también estuvieron Michael B. Jordan, protagonista de la película, junto a Jamie Foxx, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Tim Blake Nelson y el director Destin Daniel Cretton, entre otros.
Michael B. Jordan: Quiero ser parte del cambio
La película sigue al abogado de derechos civiles, Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) mientras relata su experiencia y detalles sobre el caso de un prisionero condenado a la pena de muerte por quién luchó para liberar. Esta historia verídica es una de redención, pasión y piedad que se desarrolla con un sistema judicial corrupto de fondo, el cual favorece la pena de muerte y perjudica a los pobres.

Jamie Foxx, Brie Larson, y Tim Blake Nelson completan el impresionante elenco de la película, dirigida por Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), quien previamente trabajó con Brie Larson en películas como “Short Term 12” y “The Glass Castle”.
Se espera que “Just Mercy” llegue a las salas de cine de Estados Unidos con un estreno limitado en diciembre, justo a tiempo para cualificar para los premios Oscar. En Puerto Rico se presentará en cines para febrero del 2020.
